Manage your Energy

We are moving toward a new moon in Cancer so keep in mind it isn’t so much about the wishes you intend but more about the energy you exude.

Managing our energy is key for so many things.

Energy is everything and we have control over “our” energy.

One of the reasons why exercise is so important is that it has a direct effect on how we feel and how our energy circulates throughout our system. 

One minute you can feel very blah and tired but as soon as you move your body there is a significant shift toward the better.

Our body affects our thinking too. It’s all connected, body, mind, and Spirit, so if you are in a negative mindset, one of the quickest ways out of it is to use your body and move.

Even more so than saying a mantra or affirmation, although these can be helpful once you are already in motion.

Notice when you’re energy is “off” and determine what your body needs first. Are you thirsty or hungry? Often we are simply dehydrated, so be sure to drink plenty of water.

Exercise also allows us to take in more oxygen, another possible body need. Deep yogic breaths can be very helpful in shifting one’s energy.

The body is like an electronic device that can change the channel. You do not have to remain stuck on a channel you don’t like.

Some of the other possible ways to change your energy might be listening to music, dancing, being in a body of water or listening to running water,  cuddling a pet (or human), expressing your feelings to someone you trust, writing in your journal, getting outside in nature and listening to the birds or the wind blowing through the trees.

Change your energy and it will change your life.

We’ve all had the experience of witnessing someone come into a room with positive or great energy. It is quite contagious. It changes the vibe completely for everyone in the room.

Likewise, when someone comes into the room with poor or negative energy, it brings everyone down and most likely, makes people want to get out of there.

Everyone has a bad day from time to time, but if you carry a bad mood around as a chronic unconscious pattern, be careful, because that will only repel the people and resources you need to improve your energy.

BTW, we do NOT want to engage in gossip either. Gossip is one of those slippery slopes because it feels like a connection in a group, but it’s a very destructive and negative behavior. Do not participate in or allow gossip.

By taking excellent care of your energy,  you will be helping to improve the world around you.
