Here we go … the New Decade 2020 is finally here!

What’s next?

Ready, set, change.

I don’t know about you, but life has felt super intense lately. especially as this past year has been wrapping up. As I reflect back on all the many happenings over the last 12 months, I see that it’s never been more important to align with Spirit, God, Goddess or whatever you prefer to call source energy. Those of us that follow astrology have noticed that there are definitely big changes afoot.

Plan for the life you want.

One of the portals or gateways I talk about in my Gorgeously Healthy programs is symbolized by the Star, and it is to help us access and develop our relationship with spirituality and intuition. You don’t have to be a psychic to trust your inner knowing. This is relevant now because when you are tuned into your intuition, you can plan better and take appropriate action to shape the future you actually want, the life you are meant to live.

Consult your oracle cards.

One way to get familiar with how spirit likes to communicate with you is through the use of an oracle deck. A daily practice of consulting with your cards brings another layer of awareness to whatever is going on in your life and tunes you into the signs or opportunities that you may otherwise miss. The Goddess power oracle deck is one that I like to use, but there are many other good decks. The important thing is to develop a routine of checking in regularly. To get the most meaningful results, it helps to ground and clear your mind of any thoughts or distractions before you ask your questions.

When it comes to your 2020 vision, and beyond, what is your life’s dream or purpose? Do you know? What are you doing now that is in alignment with that purpose? What would you do if there were no obstacles? Where is your passion showing up? What do you know you need to change or do differently? These are all spirit questions and are revealed when we are quiet, relaxed and take time to listen. You may only have one tiny idea, but that idea will lead to another and then another, so don’t worry about having your entire life figured out. Take out your journal and give yourself time to explore.

Schedule dream time.

Meditation or reflection time is essential to ponder these questions. It does us little good to fill up our to-do lists before contemplating what we really want. I think the morning is the best time for this and if you can build this quiet time into your morning routine, all the better. However, it is fine to do it in the evening or any time of day that works for you.

Another healthy way to access spirit is through nature. The natural world is not only grounding but has many symbols and messages for us through our encounters with plants, animals, birds and insects. The fresh air is so healing and rejuvenating. We are all part of the same universe and there is no better teacher than Mother Nature. If you don’t have time to hike in the woods or visit the ocean, just taking a brisk walk around the block can do wonders to release pent up energy. We all benefit by spending regular time every day outside.

Practice the power of prayer.

A good habit to foster is focused prayer or loving intention and sending positive thoughts to ourselves, our loved ones and even people we don’t know but see suffering. We may not be able to solve the world’s problems, but we can manage the energy we direct outward. It does make a difference! There is actual science to back this up and it brings us way more peace.

Here is a loving kindness prayer to try. Start with yourself and then move on to your loved ones and friends, and then to the people you don’t care for so much.

“May you be happy, full of love and full of abundance. May you be surrounded by loving kindness, compassion and wisdom. May you be free of pain, suffering and negativity. May you be loving and kind to all those you encounter. May you have peace, good health and joy.”

And … May you be gorgeously healthy!

I look forward to to the many possibilities that 2020 has in store for us all,

Gay
