Sow the Seeds of Change

May 1 marks the Beltane holiday. This really is the height of the spring season. Everything is in full bloom. While the seeds germinated in winter have begun to visually manifest themselves, we can now see and appreciate their beauty in abundance.

The growing period is not over yet.

As life blooms anew, this is the ideal time to cultivate new shoots and ideas.

What do you desire to sow this summer? For the rest of this year? Into the future?

Although this has been a difficult time for so many and the stress of world events seems to be never ending, we are all still responsible to keep seeding the future as we wish it to be.

Our thoughts are our seeds.

We can choose whether our ideas will blossom into flowers or weeds. Our task is to stay attentive.

What you pay attention to is what you will grow! Do not be distracted or lulled into complacency and expect results that you desire. We are all actively participating, so it is better to be aware of how we are doing so.

I love the analogy of one car stalled at rush hour and thus creating a huge traffic jam to illustrate that one person can and does make a difference! We have the choice to get out of our own car and help — along with others — to move the stalled car to the side of the road, or perhaps offer some other solution. Or we could sit and wait and see what happens.

Sitting and watching is not actively participating in a solution.

Even small gestures of kindness can make enough of a difference to create change and may be the catalyst that sparks a movement toward something more positive.

Loving Kindness can be something you practice, look for, and model for others.

“We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies of the world would also change. As a man (woman) changes his (her) own nature, so does the attitude of the world change toward him (her). This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do.” —Mahatma Gandhi

Be the change you want to see!

Goddess blessings for seeds of a Gorgeously Healthy future,
